P.S. Have you ever noticed that no one who's ever been reincarnated was ever a peasant? They were all princesses, usually Nefertiti. Poor gal, she was really busy! Half the people on talk shows were her at one time! I remember Isaac Asimov commented on that once. He scoffed about all the people who claim they are the reincarnation of some important historical figure. Asimov noted that 95% of the world's population that have ever lived were at the bottom rung of the ladder--peasants, slaves, etc. So if reincarnation was real, we should have many people with past lives they'd really prefer not to remember.

I shall now reveal to you the secret knowledge of this karma that you are seeking. This is hilarious. You should post it over at MC's.

Hello everyone!
Kahlessa, I read your posts on the Michael Crichton board, and then I read that you have your own board. My favorite Michael Crichton books are Prey and The Great Train Robbery.

Welcome Lukaran! I liked The Great Train Robbery too. I love history; that's why Timeline is my favorite Crichton novel.

Hello!
I'm a friend of Kahlessa's and she emailed me about her message board. I love to read, especially historical fiction. I'm not much into science fiction, most of it is too strange.
My favorite authors are James Michner, Jean Plaidy, and Agatha Christie. I also like the Harry Potter books. Even if they are fantasy, they seem to work for me.

Hi Eleanor, welcome!
Several of us post over here from the Michael Crichton Web site. You might try him for SF, it's not too strange; less strange than Harry Potter. His last two books are more social commentary than anything else. Anyway, I grew up in Michigan. E-mail me if you want. I may know your neck of the woods! Now I'm in SoCal.
Glad you joined us here!

Welcome Eleanor! Good to have another book lover on board. Like Kickup said, most of us got to know each other through MC's web site, and he's a great author! You might find his books interesting if you try one or two of them. By the way, I'm also a great Harry Potter fan...

Being a friend of Kahlessa’s I am very much aware of Michael Crichton’s books. ;D Kahlessa keeps telling me to read Timeline, because it combines history and science fiction. I’ll probably read it someday.

I am Martok! Are there any Star Trek fans here? I can tell our hostess is one. Her name comes from legendary Kahless, who every Klingon holds in his heart as our greatest hero!

Welcome Martok! Please forgive me for not remembering how to say that in Klingon. I must brush up on it.
