I am Martok! Are there any Star Trek fans here? I can tell our hostess is one. Her name comes from legendary Kahless, who every Klingon holds in his heart as our greatest hero! I'm a Star Trek fan! And I love Klingons! Welcome Martok!

Hey everyone! I am a 15 year old boy from the United Arab Emirates. I hope you must have heard about my country!
My interests include, Michael Crichton, J.K. Rowling, reading (mostly novels of fantasy or adventure themes), listening to music, internet.
I am also a great fan of the Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Hope to have a nice time with you all!
~Julian

Hello Kahlessa et al, I come to you via Climate Audit - which is currently in disarray. John A had me in a state of fear over an 'access forbidden' notice. I feared it was due to the horrible pun I posted at the end of thread 17 but it was actually due to Rush Limbaugh, Fox and friends. I have read much - and written SF, though little has been seen. I hate computer modelling. That enough for now? Cennad.

Hopefully it will be straightened out soon.

Hi Everybody, I'm eas. Our kind admin invited me over from the MC board, and I'm happy and honoured to be at this one, too. I am obviously a great Michael Crichton fan, but there are many other threads I can see will be of interest to me - I hope to contribute to many so as to enliven the conversation.
Apart from Crichton, I like Robin Cook novels and there are two very special authors I like and would like to recommend: Andrew Crumey and Audrey Niffenegger. The latter wrote "The Time Travellers Wife" and it has been one of my best and most satisfying reading experiences recently. Theré's a movide adaptation due this year, so go and read the novel first, especially if you are like me: once I've seen the move I have hardly any motivation to read the novel!
On a more entertainment-like level, I am a big, big Star Wars fan (sorry Kahlessa, that means not being very fond of Star Trek...) and also of the X-files (I'll comment on this and this year's movie elsewhere on the board...).
I live in Spain, (Canary Islands), so I'll probably be posting while you all sleep!
Greetings!

P.S. I'd like to read The Time Traveler's Wife. Is it still in print?

I'm very fond of Star Wars myself. But Star Wars doesn't have Klingons.
