This is a thread I found on Paul McCartney’s message board. Appropriately, I'm listening to his latest album Memory Almost Full these days. I think it's one of Sir Paul's best albums!

No, I haven't seen Wicked but I'd like to someday. These days I'm listening to Russell Crowe's album My Hand My Heart. There are three music videos of his in the special features section of the DVD A Good Year. Check it out!

Wicked the Broadway Album. I haven't seen the show yet so I got the cd. Has anyone here seen the show? I did get a Wicked umbrella for Christmas from a friend who saw the show in Chicago. Now I should at least check out the cd from the library. As I said, I'm listening to Russell Crowe's latest album My Hand My Heart. It's available for download on ITunes. There's one song "One Good Year" that is the first song I listened to this year. It's become my tradition. On January 1, 2006, I got into my car to go to work. I had the My Hand My Heart cd in my car but I had only gotten it recently so I didn't know what the order of the songs were yet. It was a complete coincidence that the first song I heard was "One Good Year". It starts with the lyrics: It took my breath away for a moment. Then 2006 turned out to be a good year for me and so I've made it a tradition that "One Good Year" will be the first song I listen to on New Year's Day. The album is definitely worth checking out. Russell Crowe writes or co-writes all the songs--with the exeception of "One Good Year" because he just liked the song so much he decided to record it. There is a song titled "Mr. Harris" that Russell wrote in honor of the late Richard Harris, who he got to be friends with when they filmed Gladiator. But the best song on the album is titled "Raewyn". It made me cry and that doesn't happen too often. Russell Crowe got a complimentary email from Sting about that song.

I'm listening to the album with Allison Krause and Robert Plant. I forget the name right now. I think it's called Raising Sands. I know we've played it over the speakers in our store. It's a nice cd. I’m listening to the soundtrack from the film Labyrinth. I love the songs David Bowie did for the film!

I'm listening to Starlight Express, the London cast album. I've never seen the show, but I love the music.

I rescued the original MAMMA MIA! show music, as I saw it life in London in 2001 and now went to see the movie. Both are great. But, of course you need to like Abba music to enjoy!
