Here is a book review that Michael Crichton wrote for the New York Times on April 1, 2007: Where Does It Hurt? By MICHAEL CRICHTON, New York Times, April 1, 2007 This elegant, tough-minded book recounts stories about how doctors and patients interact with one other. In the hands of Jerome Groopman, professor of medicine at Harvard and a staff writer for The New Yorker, these clinical episodes make absorbing reading and are often deeply affecting. At the same time, the author is commenting on some of the most profound problems facing modern medicine.
HOW DOCTORS THINK By Jerome Groopman. 307 pp. Houghton Mifflin Company. $26.www.nytimes.com/2007/04/01/books/review/Crichton.t.htmlI saw this book at Barnes & Noble. It looked interesting and I thought it would be a nice book to be reading while I’m waiting to see the doctor. (My doctor has a great sense of humor!) I can’t believe I missed this! I’m usually pretty good about finding links very quickly for anything new Michael Crichton has done. But I was just getting this message board up then and I guess I was a little distracted.
