I really love the music of Russell Crowe, and his band Thirty Odd Foot of Grunts (TOFOG). I discovered his music a couple of years ago, though I’ve always been an admirer of Russell Crowe’s acting. When Russell and TOFOG were on Soundstage on PBS, my father taped it, along with some earlier show of music. He gave me the tape knowing I’m a fan of Russell Crowe’s. On a post-it note on the tape it reads: “first hour—bad music, record over, 2nd hour—Russell Crowe, good music, keep.” I didn’t watch the tape right away and soon became distracted by other things. But when the film Cinderella Man was released, I decided to watch the tape and was just blown away! I bought have four of the band’s cds and have been listening to them almost non-stop ever since. The latest album My Hand My Heart can be downloaded from ITunes.
Russell Crowe’s music is like a warm tight hug reaching down and wrapping around my core self. It’s exciting and soothing at the same time. Russell writes or co-writes almost all the songs. Anyone who doubts the depth of Russell Crowe’s heart should listen to his music.
Not only is the music highly enjoyable, it also lowers my blood pressure. I have noticed a significant drop in my blood pressure since I’ve been listening to Russell Crowe’s music. Ah, the power of music!
